Senior Wellness: Sock Simplifier
Brief
To design a next generation wellness product for seniors based on addressing a specific need(s) that enhance well being. Your design must enhance wellness function and ease-of-use.
Objectives
1. To build facility for discovering wellness opportunities for Seniors
2. To build conceptual innovative Design Thinking skills
3. To help bring the design experience to a high degree of resolution
4. To incorporate all facets of the ID curriculum to demonstrate a capacity to balance and integrate process, innovation, project management, production and presentation
The primary objective of this design project is to create a user-friendly and innovative product that helps seniors easily put on and take off compression socks. Aging is a biological process resulting from the accumulation of molecular and cellular damage over time. This accumulation leads to a gradual decline in physical and mental capabilities, increasing the risk of various diseases. Senior wellness encompasses a holistic approach to ensuring that our elderly population enjoys physical, mental, and emotional health, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives.
