Make 10: Bladeless Fan Project: Centrifan
Brief
Develop a product to understand what companies go through to market a product. Create a manufacturing process to successfully produce 10 indentical products. After making one fully build product, build a bill of materials to see how much it will cost to make one, and figure out how much to sell them at to make a profit.
This is a bladeless desk fan called Centrifan. It uses a centrifuge motor to pull air in and redirect it forwards. It is inspired by Futurism art sculptures. It is designed to blend in to an office environment. The frame is made out of aluminum and four options of wood (Wenge, Sapele, Cherry, & Maple).
